Drywall and Heat!

This week the whole house was drywalled and the heat is on! The baseboards work throughout the house.

Dry Wall Arrives and Chimney Goes Up, Up, Up

First floor view of chimney. We met with the mason and our builder this morning to plan the hearth area. The chimney will be bricked to the ceiling, and we'll have a circular brick hearth with a fan of bricks on the edge and a herringbone pattern inside that. There will be brick up 3-4 feet on each side of the chimney with a shelf on top.

All the drywall was dropped off this week. Huge sheets of it. The drywaller will come Monday to start this. After that, the rooms will be rooms!
